Renovating Your Wardrobe

Posted by outside_voices on Saturday, 5 November, 2011

One of the best things you can do for a lady is to reconstruct her closet. Rare is the girl who can restrain herself to just the necessities and more rare is the woman who can fit her whole wardrobe, excluding shoes, in a two-door cabinet. A lady likes having a range of selections, and she is going to need all of the space to accommodate them all.

If you are restoring to enhance and expand a woman’s closet, take into consideration her decisions of clothes. This could prove difficult so you may have to find her help on this. Does she have generally dresses, dressy pants and delicate blouses? If yes, then you may have to design a closet which can supply for a large amount of space for hangers. If her style is more casual and her clothes are usually composed of jeans and shirts, then you can divide the space equally between shelves and space for hangers.

You also need to check if the lady has a wide range of purses so that you can allocate separate shelves. Additionally, if she has got a number of accessories, then a drawer or small dresser might be mandatory. To a man, these concerns are unimportant; nonetheless for a lady, these issues are the key to a wonderfully renovated closet.

Other nice things to add to a closet would be pleasant lighting and a neat rack of shoes. There’s is little more vexing than not having enough lighting in the closet, and having to have trouble finding the black top in the middle of all that darkness.

Great lighting makes a significant difference and will make your little closet space look more spacious and chic. Also, think about putting in a full-length mirror so your woman can entirely admire herself whilst trying on her garments.

If you have already seen the first Sex and the Town movie, you will possibly remember the scene where Mr. Enormous presented Carrie with the most superbly refurbished closet. Sadly, that film lifted the bar when it comes to closets, and each lady dreams of having that closet. Nonetheless you can always hope and dream that your lady will be just as pleased with your last result.

What Every Home Owner Should Know About Decorative Mirrors

Posted by outside_voices on Sunday, 31 January, 2010

I have written extensively about the subject of decorative wall mirrors. I have spent time sharing about how to correctly place them around the house and how to use them to lighten up and add some sense of space. Today I want to add some few facts to my previous reviews and contributions to this subject.

Below you will read more about how to place these great pieces and change the look of your house on a very tight budget.

Let me start with the obvious, you can use a mirror to verify your looks before going out to face the world i.e. the way you are dressed, made up or anything in between.

However, the most widely discussed benefit of using decorative ones is their ability to create an illusion of space in the room – especially to smaller rooms. On top of that you can use them to enhance the natural light in the house.

There are a number of options to choose your decorative mirror from. For example, you can go for a wall , oversized, tiny convex, silver, Venetian, metal, handcrafted, wrought iron, antique and full length mirror to name just a few.

If you are on a tight budget this is essentially the best way to remodel your house and make it look new and welcoming. A draw back to this is their vulnerability to being broken or dirtied by the kids and even some visitors. Simply find a mirrored tile that comes with a design overlay and the problem will be solved.

You can also have bathroom wall mirrors on a mantle or add some mirror tile highlight on the wall – here and there.

Do not work yourself too hard trying to come up with the best look with your deco mirrors. Just do the best you can and it will all come together some how. If you want some ideas on what to do exactly use search engine to find other great resources online

If you have been taking note of reviews and articles online then you have probably noticed that I have written a lot of posts about decorative mirrors for bathrooms and more. I have spent time sharing about how to correctly place them around the house and how to use them to lighten up and add some sense of space. This is just a simple yet effective review that should get you well on your way to changing the look of your house.

Mirrors are typically used to check yourself out before you go out to face the world i.e. to be sure you are dressed for the party.

However, the most widely discussed benefit of using decorative ones is their ability to create an illusion of space in the room – especially to smaller rooms. In addition to that, they are also used to add more light into a “not so well lit” room.

There are many types of mirrors that you can choose when coming up with your decorative plans. For example, you can choose a wall , oversized, tiny convex, silver, Venetian, metal, handcrafted, wrought iron, antique and cheap full length mirror to name only a few.

So if you have a small room and you can afford to buy some mirrors use them to cover the walls. Let me just mention that while this has all the advantages it does, however, come with some draw backs. For example, you ca have kids and visitors rubbing their heads against the mirrors and causing them to become cloudy and “uncleanable”. To combat this problem simply use a mirrored tile, which often comes with a design overlay.

Another alternative is to use bathroom decorative mirrors on a mantle or just add a mirror tile highlights along some parts of the wall.

Types Of Bathroom Mirrors

I can think of two places that should offer you comfort and relaxation in your house. That is your bedroom and your bathroom. The things that you put in them will change their appearance and atmosphere and putting up a decorative mirror will make your bath time more enjoyable.

I was just trying to answer anyone who might be asking why not just go for a simple mirror. Simple things usually turn out to be costly in the end especially where mirrors are concerned. Even though all mirrors are brittle and fragile some are tougher than others. A simple mirror will crack or break under the slightest of impact.

Besides making your place look more nice decorative mirrors are more durable than normal mirrors. You can choose to have a frameless mirror that is cut and sculptured into any unique shape or design of your choice. It is quite possible to have a beautiful mirror without a frame. You can check out more ideas and designs at: cheap decorative small wall mirrors

Then you can have decorative mirrors with different frames, shapes and finishes. The most common metal frame that you will find is the aluminum frame because it is resistant to rust and corrosion. You might choose to have an elegant wood frame that also has a nice design. You can select a frame that will match the things in your bathroom.

Apart from the type of frame and the finish you can vary the design of the mirror. You could choose to have an oriental touch to the mirror or an African touch by designing it in the shape of your favorite animal. There is no limit to the things that you can do with a mirror.

The size of the mirror is also another variation that you can try. You could have a simple full length mirror or one that covers the whole entire wall or a part of the wall that you prefer. As I mentioned earlier decorative bathroom mirrors create a nice atmosphere in the bathroom; try them out and you will see what I mean.
