Some years ago when I needed to replace my windows and being the technologically dependant person that I am, I resorted to use the internet to look for a replacement window company. I used a search engine to find one online using one of those “find it all sites”.

I emailed them and asked for a quotation. I had no idea then that I needed to have them come over and do in-home consultation. They took roughly four days to reply and requested that I supply some details about my home. I should have sensed the signs right here but being naïve I gave them the details.

A few days later they sent me a quotation and I was thrilled. I was happy that this internet thing really works. I just had a few queries with the quote, nothing terrible just standard questions. I checked for their number on the quote and gave them a call.

Here is where the actual problems started. They kept refering me to one person after another until I got fed up. When I eventually talked to someone they told me the quote was a basic one – they would have to come my place for an actual one.

They didn’t show up on the agreed date and when I rang them up they were not apologetic at all. They made excuses about how busy they were and what time of the year it was etc.

This was when I realized that I was wasting my time with these guys and I cancelled the order.
