The Gothic Home Interior
Today, we are going to be discussing about a home interior that is not so typical within the context of the Singapore house. The idea of gothic and classical interior design have really been rising up lately and we can learn about why these not so common concepts having been increasing and some representations of its appearance. While this is not a comprehensive look at the design area, we will be touching on some of the trends in gothic home interior, and from there, maybe even answer the question which begs the demand of such a thing nowadays. For all concerns, what is going to happen is how you are going to be able to understand the area of this, and how you are going to be able to recognise the gothic design in the first place. Gothic interior design is actually a very old and ancient concept of the world and it may be why it is becoming more and more famous among Singapore landscape nowadays.
We will be learning about how to spot a gothic design out of the many designs. Gothic is not just about evil figurines, dark velvet or massive chandeliers, it is just part of an old concept but gothic is a whole lot more then these few things. {For one, gothic is about the subliminal and the mind boggling, and this can translate to stuff like stone figures in and around the place, very detailed and very 18th century, Now, you might notice a play on velvet colours, maybe more black, and that lighting is used much more strategically in these houses. Gothic is now transforming into the form of stone figures, making the design very detailed and look very 18th century, more and more velvet or black colour is being used and lightings placed at much strategic locations in the house}. Adding black is not enough to let the house have a gothic effect, the colours have to be used appropriately in order for it to look gothic. In the end of the day, one of the things that are truly gothic is an impressive centrepiece within the house that can really be anything, from a table to a piano – but it has to dominate the space and seem almost alive in its presence within the house
These are some of the things that might constitute as gothic home interior, and of course, we are not going to simply look to the Addams family for inspiration. Nor is Anne Rice, or her famed vampire going to be walking around, just to make things a little more gothic and a little more sinister. Gothic is about a lifestyle and a statement, a subtle nudge in a dark direction that should immerse the room in deep colours and an even deeper, sublime mindset.
