I agree that next to the kitchen, bathrooms are one of the most popular and best things to remodel in a home. I think if you are trying to accomplish the project on your own it is good to do all the little things that are not too labor intensive or expensive such as replacing the fixtures. I also think replacing the handles on the cabinets and even painting the cabinets themselves is a cheap way to bring the bathroom to a new style.
